San Cristóbal de La Laguna
San Cristóbal de La Laguna, located in northern Tenerife, is a UNESCO World Heritage site (since 1999) renowned as the first, unfortified Spanish colonial city. Founded in 1497, this former capital features a unique 16th-century grid layout, cobblestone streets, and historic, colorful architecture. It functions as a vibrant university city with a mild climate (18-20°C) and acts as a cultural, historical, and, recently, an important agricultural, hub.
